Connectors (Back to Grammar)
Words that link ideas between sentences — “and then”, “but”, “in that case”. They make conversation flow instead of sounding like a list of separate lines.
- 그럼 then / in that case
Move the conversation forward after agreeing or deciding: “Then let’s …”
- 그리고 and / and then
Add another action or idea after a full sentence (different from noun + 하고).
- 그런데 but / by the way
Contrast what was just said, or change topic lightly (“but / by the way”).
- 하지만 but / however
A clearer “however” than 그런데 — good for written style and careful contrast.
