Time & place (Back to Grammar)
Patterns for when and where: “from … to …”, “for/during/while”, “after”, and floor numbers. They help you talk about schedules, duration, and locations.
- -부터 … -까지 from … to …
Mark a range in time or sequence. For locations, prefer -에서 … -까지.
- -동안 for / during / while
Express how long something lasts, during a period, or while an action happens (-는 동안).
- -후 after
Attach to a time amount or event noun to mean “after …”.
- -층 floor / story
Sino-Korean number + 층 names building floors.
